Police Setting up DWI Checkpoint Saturday

The Capitol Police will operate a checkpoint on Capitol Hill this Saturday in an effort to remove intoxicated drivers from local roads.

The Driving While Intoxicated checkpoint will be set up on Third Street between Jefferson Drive Southwest and Madison Drive Northwest, from 10:30 p.m. until 3:30 a.m.

In addition to screening drivers, police officers will distribute information from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
