Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) takes a breather last Monday during a news conference following the point-of-order vote on the Medicare prescription drug bill. Democrats lost that vote and an earlier attempt that day to filibuster the bill, clearing the way for the final vote on the legislation Tuesday and putting an end to the marathon sessions before Thanksgiving.
