Raise the Roof

Construction crews working on the Capitol Visitor Center have begun to install the roof plate over the massive hole on the East Front. The roof will eventually serve as the foundation of the East Front pedestrian plaza, which will feature skylights for the CVC and landscaping and benches in a park-like setting.
