Results Gallery Hosts ‘Mardi Gras’ Exhibit

For busy Washingtonians who can never find time in their day to do everything, local residents can get a workout for their mind and body at the new art exhibition opening next week at Results the Gym on Capitol Hill.

The Results Gallery’s “Mardi Gras” exhibit opens Sunday and features 90 works by nine area artists. Acrylic paintings, collages, photographs, decorative masks and more will be on display throughout the large hallways and showcase rooms of the old schoolhouse turned gym turned art gallery.

“This show has a real mix of art,” said Results Art Director Gary Fisher, who noted that the Mardi Gras theme is a tribute to the colorful mix this show features.

Some show highlights will include a “Trojan War” series by artist and Marine Corps Maj. David Richardson and bright installation pieces by Annapolis artist and author Kit Schwartz.

An opening reception for the exhibit will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 4. The show is free and open to the public seven days a week during gym hours. Results is located at 315 G St. SE.
