Trees Will Be Picked Up Curbside Through Jan. 9

Now that it’s 2005 and the holiday excitement has passed, it’s time to take down the ornaments and lights on the Christmas tree. And once those Hillites with real trees vacuum up the pine needles, the bare, undecorated trees may be placed at the curb for collection through Jan. 9.

However, no worries for those who care to enjoy their Christmas tree for a little while longer. Any trees not put out for collection this week can be placed with the trash on regular collection days. For additional information, visit the Department of Public Works Web site at https://dpw.dc.gov.
