Americans With Disabilities Act Turns 15

[IMGCAP(1)]On Monday, Members and staffers gathered on Capitol Hill to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Americans With Disabilities Act. Here, Iowa Sen. Tom Harkin speaks with Jason Gallagher, an intern with Kansas Rep. Dennis Moore who has muscular dystrophy. The landmark legislation, which was signed into law in 1990 and took effect July 26, 1992, ensures that people with disabilities receive equal treatment in employment consideration, public access and communication.
