Pennsylvania Democratic Rep. Mike Doyle’s aggressive base running in the Annual Roll Call Congressional Baseball Game has been well-documented. But many people may not realize that he brings a football attitude to the diamond.

Back in high school, Doyle played cornerback for the Swissvale Area Joint High School varsity. This 1971 senior yearbook photo depicts No. 24 looking good in his blue and gold uniform. But the Golden Flashes must have only looked good and not played that way, because Doyle’s office had no comment on the team’s record in 1971.
