Marathon Will Close Capitol Hill Streets

The National Marathon will close a number of Capitol Hill streets on Saturday. Beginning at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium at 7 a.m., the race will proceed west on East Capitol Street, which will be closed from 22nd Street to Second Street from 6:45 to 7:30 a.m. After the race passes the Capitol and goes through the National Mall, L’Enfant Plaza, Waterfront and Navy Yard areas, it will then move through Southeast, going east on I Street, north on 11th Street and southeast on Pennsylvania Avenue. Those roads will be closed from roughly 7:25 to 9:25 a.m.

Later in the afternoon, the marathon will move through the H Street Northeast corridor, going east on H Street, south on 13th Street, east on D Street, south on 18th Street and east on C Street until it finishes at RFK. Those streets will be closed from approximately 8:45 a.m. until 1:15 p.m.
