CHRS Convening Eastern Market Talk

The Capitol Hill Restoration Society will host a discussion on Wednesday about the refurbishment of Eastern Market.

Tina Roach of Quinn Evans Architects, the firm that is designing the restoration for the D.C. Office of Property Management, will talk about the damage caused by an April fire that displaced merchants to a temporary venue across the street from the historical structure. She also will discuss how the building is being protected during renovations.

This talk is one in a series of CHRS Preservation Cafes. Prior topics have included the process and procedures surrounding zoning and how to care for a historic home.

The program will take place in the North Hall of the market and is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. There will be time for questions after the presentation.
