The Metropolitan Police Department’s 1st District is hosting an open-house potluck on Saturday as part of its fourth “All Hands On Deck” day, in which every officer in the city is on duty. This weekend all officers will work Friday and Saturday.

Residents are invited to meet new 1st district Cmdr. David Kamperin and other officers.

The potluck will go from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the 1D substation, located at 500 E St. SE.
