Clinton, Giuliani Lead In Three Big Swing States

See the full Quinnipiac Poll

Hillary Clinton has overwhelming leads, especially among women, in Democratic primaries in three critical swing states, Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania, according to Quinnipiac’s Swing State Poll of voters in states that have been pivotal in presidential elections since 1964. Rudolph Giuliani leads the Republican pack in each state, but with a lackluster 30-percent support, while former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is gaining. Peter Brown, assistant director of the Polling Institute, says the surveys indicate that despite the tight race in Iowa, Clinton’s support is wide and deep and the nomination race is not close on the Democratic side. As for the GOP, Brown says that while Giuliani currently has double-digit leaders in all three states, Republicans are much more likely than Democrats to change their minds.
