Florida: Kosmas’ 4th Quarter Haul Outpaces Feeney’s

Rep. Tom Feeney (R), who continues to be face criticism for his Jack Abramoff-sponsored golf trip to Scotland several years ago, was outraised by his likely Democratic challenger in last year’s final fundraising quarter.

Former state Rep. Suzanne Kosmas (D) raised roughly $350,000 in the fourth quarter of 2007, she announced in a campaign release. According to a local media report, Feeney was expected to report by Jan. 31 that his campaign had raised about $153,000 during last year’s final fundraising quarter.

Still, Feeney is expected to hold a handsome cash advantage over Kosmas. The three-term lawmaker had about $380,000 in the bank as of Sept. 30.
