Texas: Cornyn Hauls in $1.7M in Last Quarter of Year

Sen. John Cornyn (R) raised $1.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2007 to finish the year with $7.5 million in cash on hand for his re-election bid — presumably against state Rep. Rick Noriega (D).

According to Cornyn’s campaign, the Senator collected 4,536 new individual contributions, 87 percent of which were from Texas. The average donation received by his campaign was $374.
