Substance Found in Dirksen Not Hazardous, Police Say

Police have determined that a powdery substance found in the Dirksen Senate Office Building is not dangerous, after tests on it came out negative, said Capitol Police spokeswoman Sgt. Kimberly Schneider. Police had briefly closed off the hallway and immediate area surrounding SD-116, where the substance was found. — Emily Yehle
