Idaho: Letter Carriers Believe LaRocco Can Deliver

Former Rep. Larry LaRocco (D) has been backed by the Idaho State Association of Letter Carriers in his bid to replace retiring Sen. Larry Craig (R).

“Right now, what we are looking for are candidates interested in supporting letter carriers, both active and retired, and working families in general,” Idaho State Association of Letter Carriers President Ron Mann said in a statement. “Larry has a proven record in regards to supporting working families and jobs.”

LaRocco will likely face Lt. Gov. Jim Risch (R) in November. Idaho is solid Republican territory — and Risch, a former acting governor who beat LaRocco by 19 points in the 2006 lieutenant governor’s race, is currently favored to succeed Craig.
