McClellan Accepts Conyers Invite To Testify

Former Bush administration spokesman Scott McClellan has agreed to testify before the House Judiciary Committee about a purported attempt to cover up the role of the White House in leaking the identity of former CIA officer Valerie Plame. McClellan’s attorneys said he will testify publicly and under oath before the committee on June 20 about the White House’s role in the leak and its response, the Associated Press reports. The former White House press secretary agreed to testify just hours after being invited to do so by House Judiciary Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich.).
