New Hampshire: Huckabee Spends Two Days Helping Clegg

State Sen. Bob Clegg (R) got some heavyweight help from an old friend. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R), whom Clegg worked for during Huckabee’s presidential campaign in the Granite State, returned over the past couple of days to campaign for the state Senator’s Congressional bid.

Huckabee played his bass with a local band Sunday in Nashua, and headed to the secretary of state’s office in Concord on Monday with Clegg as he officially filed for the 2nd district.

Clegg is running in a four-way primary on Sept. 9 to take on freshman Rep. Paul Hodes (D) this fall. The district, however, leans to the left: Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) won it with 52 percent in the 2004 presidential election.
