Photo From the Attic: Practice Makes Perfect

[IMGCAP(1)] Former Rep. Bill Richardson (D-N.M.) warms up for an early-1990s Roll Call Congressional Baseball Game practice. Now the governor of his home state, Richardson was a regular on the Democratic squad and was inducted into the Roll Call Congressional Baseball Hall of Fame in 1997.

Richardson’s former team nearly pulled off its first win since 2000 in last week’s 47th edition of the annual game. But the Republicans came through once again, this time thanks to a throwing error by Rep. Christopher Murphy (D-Conn.) that allowed the tying and winning runs to score in the bottom of the seventh and final inning.
