Funeral Services Set for Jones

Viewings and memorial services for the late Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones (D-Ohio) will begin Aug. 29 in her hometown of Cleveland.

A viewing is 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 29, and 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 30 at Bethany Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. that day at the Cleveland Public Auditorium.

Delaying the services until then will allow Democratic officials to spend next week at their party’s national convention in Denver.

A Jones spokesman said Washington, D.C., services are in the works but nothing is set.

Jones died suddenly on Wednesday after suffering a brain aneurysm while driving.
