Former Hewlett-Packard Chairwoman and CEO Carly Fiorina used her floor time at the GOP convention tonight to talk about her personal experience with Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), repeating throughout her speech the mantra, “I know John McCain.”

“He understands that government’s highest calling is to unlock and unleash the determination, creativity and potential of every single American,” she said.

A poised Fiorina, one of almost a dozen women scheduled to speak to the convention Wednesday evening before the vice presidential acceptance speech by Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R), delivered her comments to a bustling floor crowd.

“John McCain has the knowledge, the guts, and now in Sarah Palin, the partner he needs to actually get it done,” she said, repeating, “I know John McCain.”
