House Finishes Suspension Votes Until Sunday

The House held its only series of votes Saturday afternoon on a handful of bills on the suspension calendar, including the U.S.-India nuclear deal. The House will continue debating several suspension bills into the evening but won’t hold any more votes until Sunday. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) praised passage of the U.S.–India nuclear agreement, saying in a statement that it “furthers our countries’ strategic relationship while balancing nuclear non-proliferation concerns and India’s growing energy needs.”
