Lummis Keeps Wyoming Seat in GOP Column

In a Republican state in a presidential election year, well-known former state Treasurer Cynthia Lummis (R) had several key advantages over Internet entrepreneur Gary Trauner (D) and she rode those key assets to victory on Tuesday night in Wyoming’s at-large Congressional seat.

With 98 percent reporting, Lummis was winning 52 percent to 43 percent when the race was called for the Republican.

Lummis will replace Rep. Barbara Cubin (R), who is retiring after seven terms in the House.
