Obama and McCain to Huddle

President-elect Barack Obama and his one-time rival Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) will meet in Chicago at Obama’s transition headquarters Monday, the Obama campaign announced Friday.

“It’s well-known that they share an important belief that Americans want and deserve a more effective and efficient government, and will discuss ways to work together to make that a reality,” Obama spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter said.

The meeting is the first the two have had since Obama defeated McCain for the presidency on Nov. 4.

Also on hand for the session will be Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a close McCain ally, and incoming White House Chief of Staff Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.).

The Obama campaign also said Friday that Obama will again record the weekly Democratic radio address in both audio and video formats. Obama will continue the practice of offering a multimedia weekly address after he becomes president.
