Bachus’ Top Panel Slot in Peril

The Republican Steering Committee is expected Wednesday to take a vote of no confidence in Rep. The move ends weeks of speculation that the Alabama Republican would be removed from the panel following his inconsistent leadership during the $700 billion bailout of ailing financial institutions in October.
