Heinrich Tapped to Lead Democratic Freshmen

Freshman Democrats on Wednesday elected Rep. Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) to serve as president of their class. In his role, which lasts for six months, Heinrich will work with House Democratic leaders to advance the new Members’ priorities. “I’m honored to have the confidence of my peers and I will work with them in the coming months to advance the agenda of change that our constituents voted for in November,” Heinrich said.
