Hoyer Promotes Bernards

Stacey Farnen Bernards, the veteran communications director for House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), is moving up. Not long after taking on the additional title of senior adviser, Bernards is leaving her official mouthpiece duties behind entirely to become Hoyer’s deputy chief of staff. Stephanie Lundberg, Hoyer’s press secretary, and Katie Grant, his deputy press secretary, are stepping in to replace her.
