Duberstein Group Inc. is making a rare addition to its lobbying team, hiring Goldman Sachs’ top Democratic lobbyist, Marti Thomas.

Thomas, who joined Goldman in 2007, is rejoining the consulting world. She previously worked as a lobbyist at Quinn Gillespie & Associates. She comes on board as vice president in February.

“It’s a great addition for us,” said Mike Berman of the Duberstein Group. “She’s got great experience on the Hill and in the private sector, and we’re just delighted to have an addition of her quality.”
