Photos from the Attic: Mystic Chords of Memory

[IMGCAP(1)][IMGCAP(2)]On the 200th anniversary of the birth of Abraham Lincoln and the day of the reopening of Ford’s Theatre after a long renovation, it is fitting to remember our history. Two earlier photographs of Ford’s Theatre show the facade of the building where Lincoln was assassinated in April 1865. The photograph at top was taken in 1901. At left, the view is from 1890.
