Locke Is Likely Commerce Pick
Former Washington Gov. Gary Locke (D) is President Barack Obamas likely pick for Commerce secretary, a White House official said today. Locke was the nations first Chinese-American governor. The official was not clear about when the announcement will be made. Locke would be Obamas third choice for the post. Two previous nominees New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson (D) and Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.) both withdrew their nominations.
