Every new momma loves showing off photos of her newborn baby — and Rep. Linda Sánchez is no different.

[IMGCAP(1)]The California Democrat posted photos of her 2-week-old son, Joaquin Sánchez Sullivan, to her official Congressional Web site this morning.

Among the oh-so-cute pictures is a close-up shot of Joaquin, who is shown wrapped in a blanket and resting comfortably in his mother’s arms.

There also is a photo featuring Sánchez holding Joaquin as her husband, Jim Sullivan, looks on. In another picture, Sullivan’s sons from a previous marriage — Brendan, 11, Jack, 10, and Seamus, 6 — are shown visiting a 1-day-old Joaquin in the hospital.

Sánchez gave birth on May 13. She and Sullivan quietly married in a private ceremony on April 13 — in the Connecticut office of Rep. John Larson (D), who introduced them.
