McConnell Fills Out Senate Committees

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) announced Tuesday that the Republican Conference had ratified a handful of new committee assignments to fill outstanding vacancies on the panels.Included in the new assignments are: Sen. Bob Bennett (Utah) to the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee; Sen. Saxby Chambliss (Ga.) to the Aging Committee; Sen. John Cornyn (Texas) to the Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee; Sen. James Inhofe (Okla.) to the Foreign Relations Committee; and Sen. James Risch (Idaho) to the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee.
