Minnesota: Bonoff Looking at 2nd Run in 3rd District

State Sen. Terri Bonoff (D) is considering running against Rep. Erik Paulsen (R) in 2010. Bonoff said in an e-mail that she is taking it “in consideration— but remains “undecided as of yet.—

Bonoff lost her party’s endorsement to Iraq War Veteran Ashwin Madia (D) at the 2008 district convention. Bonoff abided by local party guidelines and dropped out of the Democratic primary, therefore clearing the way for Madia to be the Democratic nominee.

Madia lost by a slim margin to Paulsen in 2008. President Barack Obama, however, won the district by 6 points — making the district a prime target for Democrats.
