Burns Transferred Out of ICU After Stroke

Former Sen. Conrad Burns (R-Mont.) on Wednesday was transferred out of the intensive care unit and into a regular room at Georgetown University Hospital after suffering a stroke last week, according to a statement issued by his family.“He’s glad to be moving out of the ICU, although he is eager to leave the hospital altogether so he can get back to Montana. In the meantime, he’s able to carry on conversations and now that he’s got a TV, he’s watching Fox News and arguing with the pundits,— said his son, Garrett Burns.Conrad Burns, 74, served in the Senate from 1989 to 2007.
