Landra Reid Released From Hospital

Landra Reid, the wife of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), was released Sunday from a Washington, D.C.-area hospital, his office reported.

Landra Reid, 69, suffered a broken back, neck and other injuries when her car was smashed by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 95 in Fairfax, Va., on Thursday. She underwent surgery on her neck Friday.

The Las Vegas Sun quoted officials in Sen. Reid’s office as saying that his wife was “on that fast track to recovery” and that her doctor did not believe further surgery would be necessary.

Reid’s daughter, Lana Reid Barringer, was also injured in the accident. She was released from the hospital Thursday night.
