President Clinton to Attend Senate Democrats’ Weekly Lunch

Senate Democrats will host former President Bill Clinton at their weekly caucus luncheon Tuesday, according to Senate aides.

Although the topic of health care reform is likely to come up, Clinton was invited by Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) to discuss climate change. Kerry is pressing the Senate to approve a bipartisan climate change overhaul this year.

Clinton’s former chief of staff, John Podesta, is also set to participate in the Democrats’ lunch. Podesta, who now runs the Democratic think tank Center for American Progress, also served on President Barack Obama’s transition team.
