Rove Blames Obama for Political Breakdown

Karl Rove on Sunday blamed President Barack Obama for polls showing a majority of Americans believe the political process is broken.

“This is an indictment of the president,” Rove said on ABC’s “This Week.” Rove added of the president, “He has been aloof, distant, detached.”

Rove also continued to insist that the health care reform bill will cost Democrats dearly at the polls this November.

“The Democrats will have significant losses in the House and Senate as a result of this bill,” Rove said.

Obama’s ex-campaign manager, David Plouffe, appearing on the same program, countered that Democrats will be much better positioned politically for the November elections if the legislation is enacted. Plouffe said Americans will enjoy enormous benefits from the legislation and see Republicans as siding with big insurance companies.
