New Mexico: Pearce Banks $708,000 for Teague Rematch

Former Rep. Steve Pearce (R), who is running to regain his old seat, will report $708,000 in cash on hand as of the end of March, his campaign said.

Pearce’s team said it raised $277,000 in the first quarter, pushing total receipts past $1 million.

He’s in for an expensive battle against freshman Rep. Harry Teague (D), also a strong fundraiser who won the open seat when Pearce decided to run for Senate in 2008.
