New York: Hayworth Campaign Has More Than $650,000

Ophthalmologist Nan Hayworth (R) padded her cash reserves in the first quarter of the year, ending March with $659,000 in the bank, her House campaign announced.

Hayworth, who is running to take on Rep. John Hall (D) in the 19th district, pulled in $322,000 in receipts in the first quarter, including $172,000 in contributions and a $150,000 personal loan to her campaign.

Hayworth has now kicked in $400,000 of her own funds to the campaign.

Hayworth has “Contender” status in the NRCC’s “Young Guns” program.

She faces a primary fight with at least two other Republicans: Neil Di Carlo (R), a compliance officer on the New York Stock Exchange, and former Tuxedo Park Mayor David McFadden.
