HOH’s One-Minute Recess: The Cold Shoulder

Is the near-wintry weather whiplash wreaking havoc with your outfit-planning mojo? You’re not alone — supermodel-turned-lobbyist Christy Turlington Burns feels your pain.

She was on Capitol Hill this morning to advocate for legislation providing better prenatal care for women around the globe, and her ensemble — a blazer over a summery floral dress and wedge sandals clearly intended for warmer climes — left her among those shivering in the low temperatures.

Turlington Burns, though, gamely joined Rep. Lois Capps at an outdoor press conference. “This issue deserves — demands — our attention,” the still-gorgeous model said. She said she planned to screen the film that she directed, “No Woman, No Cry” (which debuted recently at the Tribeca Film Festival) for hundreds of advocates in town to lobby for California Democrat’s healthy moms bill.
