Kagan Readies for Thursday Hill Meetings

Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan is heading back to the Capitol on Thursday for another round of courtesy calls with Senators.

Kagan, the solicitor general in the Obama administration, is scheduled to meet separately with Sens. John Kerry (D-Mass.), Arlen Specter (D-Pa.), Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Benjamin Cardin (D-Md.), Scott Brown (R-Mass.) and Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.).

Kagan, 50, kicked off her official tour Wednesday morning with meetings with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and the bipartisan leaders of the Judiciary Committee.
