Washington: Rossi Ready to Enter Race for Murray’s Seat

Dino Rossi, the Republican gubernatorial nominee in 2008, will announce on Wednesday he is running for the Senate nomination, GOP sources said Monday.

The recruitment is a victory for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, which has been wooing Rossi for months.

Early polling has shown that a contest between Sen. Patty Murray (D) and Rossi would be highly competitive.
