Etheridge Tussles With Student

Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-N.C.) became agitated — and a little rough — last week when a student approached him with a camera and asked whether he fully supports President Barack Obama’s agenda.

In a video making the rounds online, Etheridge appears to swipe the student’s camera away before grabbing his arm and demanding the student to “tell me who you are.” The student and the cameraman never identify themselves, only responding that they are working on a project.

“We’re just students,” a man from off camera says. “That’s all we are.”

In the video, Etheridge then lets go of the student’s arm and soon walks away. Etheridge’s office did not immediately return a request for comment. The video can be found here.
