It’s a big day for Hill sweet tooths: Popular Dupont cupcakery Hello Cupcake is opening an outpost within walking distance of the Capitol complex, local blog the Hill Is Home reports. Flavors like Velvet Elvis (banana and peanut butter) and Heart of Darkness (chocolate on chocolate) will soon be fueling afternoon hearings.

And fro-yo fans, rejoice — Tangysweet is offering free small yogurts (with unlimited toppings!) from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at both its Washington locations. Clearly they underestimate our topping-ordering stamina.

And if your taste runs more to bar food than sweets, there’s word that H Street’s Rock and Roll Hotel is hosting a fundraiser next Wednesday for its neighboring bar, the Argonaut, which was damaged in a fire last weekend. The $20 admission goes directly to the beloved “Arg.”
