DSCC Posts $15.5 Million September Haul

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee raised $15.5 million in September, bringing its third-quarter haul to $27 million, the committee announced Friday. That’s its largest third quarter on record, according to the DSCC.

The committee had $25.6 million in cash on hand as of Sept. 30, most of which will likely need to be spent on nearly a dozen close races.

The DSCC has now raised more than $101 million this cycle, which is $6 million more than it brought in during the successful 2006 cycle. The National Republican Senatorial Committee has yet to announce its latest fundraising figures.

“Despite shadow Republican groups pouring millions of undisclosed, unregulated, and unlimited special interest money into these races, our supporters are making sure Democrats have the resources they need to wage competitive races and ultimately keep Democrats in the Senate majority,” DSCC Executive Director J.B. Poersch said in a statement.
