NRSC Completes Senior Staff

With three more positions filled, the National Republican Senatorial Committee senior staff is complete.

The committee announced Thursday it promoted three NRSC operatives to new positions: Deputy Political Director Rich Dunn was promoted to political director, Senior Research Analyst Mike Reed was promoted to research director and Regional Political Consultant Dan Flynn was promoted to incumbent retention director.

It was previously announced that Executive Director Rob Jesmer, Communications Director Brian Walsh and Finance Director Dorinda Moss would remain in their positions for the 2012 cycle. General Counsel Sean Cairncross will also remain in place.

“After winning seven Democrat Senate seats, successfully defending every Republican Senate seat, and dramatically narrowing the fundraising gap with Senate Democrats, the NRSC stands ready to wage a strong 2012 election cycle,” NRSC Chairman John Cornyn (Texas) said in a statement.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has not announced any senior staff changes in the two weeks since Sen. Patty Murray (Wash.) accepted the offer to lead the committee in the next Congress.
