Chinese President Gives Face Time to Hill Leaders

Chinese President Hu Jintao is making the rounds on Capitol Hill on Thursday morning.

Hu met with a group of House Members at 9:30 a.m. Lawmakers in the meeting included Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.), Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), Foreign Affairs Chairwoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.), Ways and Means Subcommittee on Trade Chairman Kevin Brady (R-Texas), U.S.-China Working Group Co-Chairman Charles Boustany (R-La.), Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), Minority Assistant Leader James Clyburn (D-S.C.), Ways and Means ranking member Sander Levin (D-Mich.) and Foreign Affairs ranking member Howard Berman (D-Calif.).

The Chinese president will then head to the Senate for a 10:15 a.m. meeting with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), Foreign Relations Chairman John Kerry (D-Mass.), Foreign Relations ranking member Dick Lugar (R-Ind.) and Armed Services ranking member John McCain (R-Ariz.).
