Another Florida Republican Considering Senate Bid

Former Florida House Majority Leader Adam Hasner (R), a favorite of local conservative activists, is actively exploring a bid against Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.).

“It’s no secret that I would like to run for Congress,” Hasner told the Shark Tank blog. Hasner, from the Delray Beach area north of Miami, last week met with “grassroots activists, media types, and several influential politicos” in Washington, D.C., the Shark Tank reported.

State Senate President Mike Haridopolos (R) has already announced his plans to challenge Nelson, while other Republicans to watch include Rep. Connie Mack IV and former Sen. George LeMieux.
