A driver struck the Capitol Police vehicle barrier on the House side of the Capitol at Independence Ave. S.E. and New Jersey Ave. S.E. Thursday morning.

The Capitol Police have yet to release details of the crash. Capitol Police Spokeswoman Sgt. Kimberly Schneider said, “The accident is under investigation.”
