HOH’s One-Minute Recess: But Can He Throw?

Rep. Aaron Schock will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Nationals game Thursday.

The Illinois Republican is known for his dedication to working out (see May 2011’s issue of Men’s Health). He is one of several Congressmen devoted to the P90X workout routine, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he can play ball.

“Well, he’s not on the roster for the Congressional Baseball Game,” an HOH tipster told us. “That doesn’t mean he can’t throw but …”

Schock’s office seems to be taking it all in stride. “He’ll do a few practice throws here or there before Thursday,” Schock spokesman Steve Dutton told HOH.

Dutton isn’t sure why his boss isn’t on this year’s baseball roster. The Nationals will partner Thursday with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation.
