Heard on the Hill: Politician at a No-Pants Party?

There ain’t no party like a no-pants party?

Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder (R) seems to think so.

Kinder was photographed at Verlin’s Bar and Grill, famous for its “pantless parties,” with a blond bartender who is a former Penthouse Pet, the Riverfront Times reported last week.

According to a former Verlin’s bartender, the lieutenant governor and tea party favorite is a regular at Verlin’s.

Kinder spokesman Jay Eastlick told the paper that he was pretty doubtful his boss would drink at a no-pants-party bar, though he wasn’t with him that night and could neither confirm nor deny the report.

Though HOH kind of has to ask: Why couldn’t Kinder be a regular at Verlin’s?

He has never been married, so there is no cheating scandal. And it’s the bartenders who go pantless, not the customers, so chances are Kinder is probably wearing pants in the offending picture.

So … no harm, no foul?

HOH attempted to reach Kinder’s office for comment, but our calls were not returned.
